Kim Pan-gon mahukan semua berfikiran positif dalam menghadapi pasukan Chinese Taipei yang dianggap sebagai perlawanan maut. Misi Harimau Malaya bukan sahaja setakat menang tapi harus menang besar untuk layak ke pusingan seterusnya dalam Kelayakan Piala Dunia.
Setakat ini Malaysia menduduki tangga ketiga dengan tujuh mata, di bawah Kyrgyz Republik yang di tempat kedua dengan kelebihan tiga mata dan tujuh gol. Sementara itu, Oman mendahului Kumpulan D dengan 12 mata.
Pan-gon percaya akan kebolehan anak didiknya dan mahukan mereka fokus, sabar dan tidak tertekan. Jurulatih pasukan kebangsaan menegaskan bahawa beliau percaya akan kebolehan Harimau Malaya bermain sebagai satu pasukan dan bukannya bergantung kepada pemain-pemain individu tertentu. Beliau juga mengharapkan penyokong memenuhi stadium dan memberi sokongan padu kepada pasukan Malaysia.
Mewakili Harimau Malaya, Paulo Josue akur misi mereka bukan mudah tetapi beliau percaya bahawa mereka akan memberi persembahan terbaik dengan harapan mencipta kemenangan besar ke atas Chinese Taipei.
Sementara itu, ketua jurulatih Chinese Taipei, Gary White, menyatakan bahawa pasukannya mahu mencipta sejarah dengan mengutip mata dalam perlawanan terakhir. Mereka masih belum pernah berjaya mengutip sebarang mata dalam pusingan kedua kelayakan Piala Dunia. Oleh itu, mereka di sini untuk meraih kemenangan. Beliau juga tidak mahu berdebat tentang keinginan pasukan Malaysia untuk menang besar dalam perlawanan esok.
Kapten pasukan, Chen Po Liang, menyatakan mereka sudah bersiap sedia untuk bertemu pasukan Malaysia. Mereka datang untuk menang dan beliau menegaskan bahawa pasukannya bukan senang untuk dikalahkan.

Coach Kim Pan-Gon wants only positive thoughts ahead of facing the Chinese Taipei team, which is considered do-or-die for Harimau Malaya. The Malaysian team’s mission is not only to win the match but they would need to secure a big win to qualify for the next round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Currently, Malaysia is ranked third with seven points, placing below the Kyrgyz Republic, who are in second place with three points more and seven goals. Meanwhile, Oman leads Group D with 12 points.
Pan-gon believes in the abilities of his players, wanting them to be focused and patient rather than stressed from the pressure. The national team coach also believes that their strength comes in their ability of playing as a whole team rather than depending on certain individual players. He also hopes and expects fans to fill up the stadium and show their support towards the Malaysian team.
Representing Harimau Malaya, Paulo Josue admits that their upcoming mission is not easy but he assured that the team will deliver their best performance in hopes of a big victory over Chinese Taipei.
Meanwhile, Chinese Taipei’s head coach, Gary White, stated that his team was here to make history by collecting points in the final match. Throughout history, the team has yet to collect any points in the second round of the World Cup qualifiers. Therefore, they were here to win. He also was not concerned about debating Malaysia’s desire to score big in tomorrow’s march.
Captain Chen Po Liang stated that they were ready to meet the Malaysian team. They came to win and stressed that his team was not easy to defeat.
