Bersama Legenda – Khalid Ali, Hanafiah Ali dan Rahim Abdullah
Alhamdulillah.
Semoga dipermudahkan segala urusan beliau.

Legasi Lagenda has recently visited national football legend, Khalid Ali, at his house.
Accompanied by Olympian Rahim Abdullah, our arrival was warmly welcomed by Khalid and his wife.
Although 66-year-old Khalid is currently battling stage four lung cancer, his strong spirit and love for football is still clear during our conversation. Khalid is known for his firm and honest attitude as well as his thoughtfulness when sharing his views on Malaysia’s football scene.
Khalid was one of the heroes in the Harimau Malaya team that qualified for the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games. Khalid completed the midfield trio also comprising of Shukor Salleh and Bakri Ibni under the management of Karl Weigang and Mohammad Bakar.
Weigang was responsible for moving Khalid from his original position as right defence to midfield. Placing his trust in Khalid, he fulfilled it successfully. Not only did his runs open up space to weaken his opponents’ defence, he also managed to score six goals at the 1980 Pre-Olympic Games tournament, emerging as Malaysia’s top scorer.
Hanafiah Ali, his brother, also took the time to meet and share with us some of his past experiences. Hanafiah was part of the national team that won the bronze medal at the 1974 Tehran Asian Games.
We are very grateful to the Harimau Malaya legends who support our initiative. We pray that they are all given good health and are protected by Allah SWT, especially for Khalid Ali to persevere and stay motivated as he faces this challenge, and for him to be granted strength and healing.
