Liga Simpanan – Pasukan Bawah 23
Baru-baru ini Malaysian Football League (MFL) mengumumkan penstrukturan semula Liga Malaysia 2023. Antara perubahannya adalah dengan mewujudkan Liga Simpanan (Reserve League) dan menangguhkan Liga Premier buat seketika.
Penubuhan Liga Simpanan adalah untuk penyertaan pasukan pemain bawah 23 tahun (B-23). Setiap pasukan dibenarkan menyenarai lima pemain lebih umur tetapi hanya tiga pemain termasuk maksimum dua pemain import boleh beraksi di atas padang pada satu-satu masa.
Pembaharuan ini akan memberi impak positif di mana pemain B-23 dapat meningkatkan persembahan dengan lebih minit permainan. Kehadiran pemain senior dan import boleh membantu perkembangan pemain muda. Ini dapat memberi mereka persediaan dan merapatkan jurang dengan saingan Liga Super.
Semalam, kami sempat menyaksikan perlawanan antara pasukan muda Selangor FC II dan Terengganu FC II. Perlawanan Liga Premier ini berlangsung di Stadium UITM, Shah Alam di mana Terengganu FC II mengalahkan Selangor FC II, 2–0. Gol dijaringkan oleh Izzan Syahmi dan Rahmat Makasuf.

Reserve League – Teams U-23
Recently, the Malaysian Football League (MFL) announced the restructuring of the 2023 Malaysian League. Among the changes made are creating the Reserve League while suspending the Premier League.
The establishment of the Reserve League is for the participation of teams with players under the age of 23 (U-23). Each team is allowed to list five players over the age limit but only three players including a maximum of two imported players can be on the field at any given time.
This update to the league will hopefully have a positive impact whereby U-23 players can improve their performances with more time on the field. The presence of senior players and imports can also help with the development of young players. This will be able to give them preparation needed and narrow the gap with Super League rivals.
Last night, we had the chance to watch a match between the Selangor FC II and Terengganu FC II youth teams. The Premier League match took place at UITM Stadium, Shah Alam where Terengganu FC II defeated Selangor FC II, 2-0. Goals were scored by Izzan Syahmi and Rahmat Makasuf.
