Terima Kasih, Robert Choe @ Galeri Harimau Malaya
Robert Choe menjawab “Thank you for inviting me. No other people have invited me to come to a place like this, appreciating me like this.” (Terima kasih kerana menjemput saya.

“God has gifted me with talent. So I have to use it by playing my best game.” – Robert Choe
Among the sweet moments at Galeri Harimau Malaya was when our exhibition at Stadium Hang Tuah, Melaka was visited by national football legend Robert Choe.
Even when Wong Kuw Fou went to pick him up at his home, Robert insisted on not using his wheelchair. It was evident how enthusiastic he was to walk on his own with some accompaniment.
When the legend entered into the exhibition space, tears immediately appeared. Legasi Lagenda welcomed his arrival and thanked him for coming despite his condition.
Robert replied by thanking us back. He said, “Thank you for inviting me. No other people have invited me to come to a place like this, appreciating me like this.”
Those around him were also moved by the sincerity of his words.
Robert is a national football legend from the 1950s-60s era. A feared striker alongside Abdul Ghani Minhat, he won several international championships with Malaya including the Pestabola Merdeka three times in a row from 1958-60 and a bronze medal at the 1962 Asian Games.
We greatly appreciate the visit by national football legend Robert Choe, after all the sacrifices and successes he has achieved for this country. We hope that all of our efforts to commemorate legends like him will continue to inspire the younger and future generations.
